Abstract

Abstract: Human rights and constitutional governance are fundamental pillars of democratic societies. The protection of human dignity, equality, freedom, and justice forms the basis of modern constitutional systems. Democratic constitutions establish legal frameworks that safeguard individual rights while ensuring accountability, transparency, and the rule of law. Human rights are universally recognized principles that protect individuals from arbitrary state action and discrimination. Constitutional governance provides institutional mechanisms for enforcing these rights through legislative, executive, and judicial structures. This paper examines the relationship between human rights and constitutional governance, analyzes constitutional safeguards available in democratic societies, evaluates the role of judicial institutions in protecting rights, and discusses contemporary challenges affecting human rights protection. The study concludes that effective constitutional governance remains essential for safeguarding human rights and strengthening democratic institutions.
